The Scandinavians are renowned for a certain sensibility and restrained form when it comes to product design (and fashion), so we couldn’t miss a visit to Stockholm and then Copenhagen for the annual Trends & Traditions design fair, on this sourcing trip.

After a few tourist stops to royal palaces, national museums, boutiques, and one too many Fika, it was difficult not to notice the many scroll-like, bulbous forms also on display at Trends & Traditions this year. It seems shapely curves aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, and were just as prominent around the showrooms of Scandinavia as at Salone del Mobile during Milan Design Week.
