Milan Design Week 2023
Ah Milano… it’s molto bene to see you again. And wonderful to see Euroluce (that’s the International Lighting Exhibition for anyone following at home) back in action after three years!
While it’s always about the furniture at Milan Design Week, with Euroluce back in force, it was all about lights, lights, and more lights this time around.
And villas – all the villas. The perfect backdrop for that contemporary European interior vernacular we’ve come to know so well. But one in particular caught our eye…
Every year, Artemest commission a team of internationally-renowned interior designers to fit out a Milanese apartment (L’Appartamento) with their products. And the results, shall we say, are fantastico!
From disco-worthy lounge room dance floors (move over humble groove pit), to three-dimensional sound systems synchronised with lighting centrepieces (think lights flashing in time to a beat) – we were once again humbled by the sheer volume of creative design talent and artisanship on show.
What we’re coveting:
Needless to say, feature lighting was definitely on our radar this year, but the Italians are renowned for their inventive furniture forms, and we definitely saw a few that piqued our interest:
